Fiery Sunset

by Daylight Lucidity   Mar 24, 2013

Beautiful and angelic she stands before me
Yet a frown colors her face blue
Her lips, full and pink, pout ever so slightly
As tears fill her ocean-like eyes, sparkling as if sapphire jewels.
Behind her luscious silhouette,
Beauty I've never before seen,
Grows a burning, fiery sunset
Whispering secrets within the wind.
"My love, tell me, what causes your sorrows?"
She turns from me, hair billowing like a shield
My hand reaches for hers, asking without words
To ask her to tell me how she feels.
"My heart breaks for I can never be good enough"
She sobs against the flaming orange stage
"How can I ever give enough love?"
"My dear, you're all I'll ever need..." I murmur...
She falls into my waiting embrace,
Tears still falling from her eyes,
My lips against her forehead graze
As our hearts come together for the rest of time.
