Throne of Chains

by Jack Nightengale   Mar 24, 2013

Do you hear it now?
The silence of the stage when the actor doesn't bow.

Is a monster all you'll ever think of me?
Does my terror go far or only as far as the eyes can see?

The chains are coming back slowly creeping, crawling,
Their cold grip against my skin yet still I'm falling.
Is there nothing left of those wings that were white?
Or are they blending with the darkness of the cold still night?

I vowed to stand and keep going with all my might,
Guess I was wrong and lost that fight.
So here again I sit with sin in pain,
Forever am I shackled and bound to this throne of chains.
