New York Life

by Anonymous   Mar 26, 2013

Tremendous lights, sleepless nights
a dream that could vanish within sight.
lights are flashing
drumsticks are thrashing
a city that illuminates the soul.
strippers on poles and dealers on corner roads
all trying to get a little cash.
but don't be fooled, cash is no rule
in how to live your life.
instead you can sit on by, and enjoy the bumpy ride
that is the wonderful new york life.
