You Wont Let Me Love You

Tell me why you're so hard to reach,
even though you're right in front of me.
you wont let me touch you or hug you or love you,
yet i think nothing else is above you.
you say you dont believe you're good enough for me.
when i think the exact opposite thing.
i love you more than love itself.
because of you i remind myself
that you're the most important thing in my life.
without you my life wouldnt be right.
we've fought, we've cried,
but not once have i lied
about you being the only girl i'd love in my life.
i always pictured falling in love being the hardest thing i'd ever do,
but everythings easier when im near you.
i thought my heart would break by something i'd do wrong,
but it seems like the love we've got isnt strong.
i know the love you have for me is true,
but why is it you won't let me love you?

    This reminded me of a relationship I just got out of. It didn't end because she/me held back because I held back a lot, it ended because he left after I finally left him in completely, my advice is you truly love her like you say you do, don't give up, keep fighting for her, and slowly she'll let you love her more and more, she's probably protecting herself and don't give her a hard time about, but always stay close to her. I cried as I read this because all the words you said he had said to me, and it hurt so much because he didn't mean them. But I'm not you don't, because I am still surprised he didn't, after all he said! This poem is simply amazing! You truly have talent as a writer and please don't ever forget it. this poem is outstanding, wonderful, inspiring!!!! She is a very, extremely lucky girl!!! 100/100
