This reminded me of a relationship I just got out of. It didn't end because she/me held back because I held back a lot, it ended because he left after I finally left him in completely, my advice is you truly love her like you say you do, don't give up, keep fighting for her, and slowly she'll let you love her more and more, she's probably protecting herself and don't give her a hard time about, but always stay close to her. I cried as I read this because all the words you said he had said to me, and it hurt so much because he didn't mean them. But I'm not you don't, because I am still surprised he didn't, after all he said! This poem is simply amazing!
