Sincerely, your Confidante (Triolet)

by Meme   Mar 31, 2013

While nestled against my chest,
you can now let go and breathe.
For I'll keep whatever you confess
while nestled against my chest.
With her image still repressed,
your blood will come to seethe.
While nestled against my chest,
you can now let go and breathe.

Meme- I love this form, the Triolet is a pretty form.. I felt a comforting peace, as if to say to the one that they can let go and feel comfort and love in the arms of a friend, confidant... oh this is elegant!

That's beautiful...in ways I relate being an Auntie and how I'd react with what any of my nephews would confess, but also I see as a teacher and the fact that I'd always be there to comfort, but I wouldn't always be able to hold confessions in like that.

I also thought of it as a metaphor for confessing to God about sins, and it would work as to say that you lean on him, and his heart and his guidance at times...

You penned a nice piece Meme.
It flowed really well and the title was eye catching and a nice short form that still gets the reader thinking.

      Thanks hun :)

Yes, those could be interpreted in so many ways. It could be a mother holding her child, someone holding the person he loves, or simply anyone whom you would run to when you need a shoulder to lean on or someone to confess to..
