Imagine

Imagine waking up with your head banging
like thunder, in a state of deep confusion. Uncertain
if you have woken from a nightmare of the imagination
in your sleeping mind, or from a dream of reality, in a
forgotten memory that has now been unlocked.

Imagine your body feeling pain
that your mind knows does not exist.
Yet you tremble and you shake because the reflex of fear
is far beyond your control.

Imagine your worst nightmare coming alive
before your eyes and there is nothing you can do
to escape what lies ahead. You remain helpless
and frozen with the fear of the past.

Imagine never knowing the truth
about the nights you can't remember.
Instead what you have, is the scattered pieces
of memories that will never fit together.

Imagine feeling a new set of hands invade your body
while your mind tries desperately to picture their face;
but you were blindfolded by fear.

Imagine having questions that you know
will never be answered because only the abusive
monsters will ever hold the truth in which you seek.

Imagine going through this hell each morning you wake up,
each time you close your eyes to sleep
and unlock a memory that you never knew was there.

Imagine being a victim with the exhausted confusion
that turns into insomnia through the night.

Imagine being that victim.

Imagine being me.

One of my all time favorite songs in this lifetime is Imagine, by John Lennon...

You took me to another side of this song... Poured your feelings yet again, and created a somber tone of how you are feeling... beautiful!
