Swift & Invisible [Haiku Chain]

by Poet on the Piano   Apr 3, 2013

I stay inside now,
though you wish to serenade
as midnight dozes.

Your light was meant for
moon petals and balconies,
not lightbulbs in bed.

But your tones brush near,
my held breath- no longer stale,
you carry me out.

Each nudge, each wind flows
until my cage unchains me.
I touch the night's muse.

MaryAnne- You pen beauty in this chained haiku... it reminds me of a daisy chain.. <3

the light of nature can not be felt by artificial light in the darkness.... moonlight upon a balcony is one of the remarkable kinds of light... this nature piece holds more than nature... the 2nd stanza: holds a powerful feeling of wishes and hope of a fresh new light perhaps... Oh I love poems that hold more angles than meets the eye... Beautiful!
