I like your poem, even I think the long one verse can be difficault to use. I believe in shorter verses like 2, 3, 4, 5, even up to 8 lines.
Then you will be able to make stories in stories, instaed of a long story, that can be confusing to read the longer it gets. The content in your poem is great, keep on writing
