I've GOT to figure out how to be able to nominate poems, or bribe someone to nominate for me, because cmon.. this is getting ridiculous.

As you already know, I instantly started crying. halfway through the poem I knew where it was going, but I didn't want to assume because.. ya never know lol. Chills and goosebumps overwhelmed my body like it usually does when I read/hear anything about God or His people following Him.. it's like a sense of calmness just washes over me. This poem did that.

So often people search their entire lives and NEVER find the peace, love and grace that comes with finding Jesus Christ. He truly is a savior in every sense of the word.. I know He has saved my life.. and I know He will save yours, too.

When you get these moments, just write. I close my eyes and type and am amazed at what I come up with. He's speaking through you and He will start using you to reach other people. People will say "Hey, that girl.. if SHE believes in Him and receives all these blessings, something has to be going on". I watched it happen in my life and I hope I've touched people the way they've touched me. It's such a beautiful moment.

Your journey is just starting and it's such an exciting time! He will bless you, Jenni. It's overwhelming the amount of love He has to give.. and you're accepting it. Turn to Him for everything and He will provide.. no matter how small or silly you think it is.

Obviously I could keep going, lol, because I am just so excited for you! This is such a huge moment in your life and I am so overwhelmed for you!

Oh yeah, poetically speaking this is gorgeous, naturally. I can't even get into that. Look at what your poem made me feel..my goodness.

This is a great example of a poem that's genuine. It's so touching. No flashy wordsor imagery. Just sincerity. I personally love reading these poems. They let me know myself better in a way that I tell myself: Hey, I feel that too! Because sometimes we overlook some things. And it's only in certain, small moments like these that we're reaquainted with them.

This is a beyond beautiful testimony Jenni & I wish I could hug you right here and now! I am so happy for you and proud of you! Know that God will always be with you, no matter what... I think what makes this poem relatable to me is when you mentioned closing your heart- I think that's so easy to do! Often I have found myself purposefully distancing myself away because it's human to be upset here and there and to want to do things ourselves... but it doesn't bring us this peace in the long run. I agree that it's okay to question, because sometimes that can bring us closer if we ourselves connect with God and don't have others' influence solely, but I believe he is always open and waiting even if we can't see him. It's hard to believe he can love us so much even at our lowest point or where we're going through a tough time deciding... his love is amazing, hard to understand that's for sure, but always there! You penned such truth that warmed my heart... one of the most genuine writes I've ever come across.

Beautiful, beautiful piece that is written with God's grace & straight from your soul! Such a joy to read this and I hope many others do too :]

I'm so glad you've found that little piece of your life that you've been missing. I can only imagine how much better it must feel after all you've been through as of late. God is always someone you can confide in, I'm not one to go to church anymore but I can only imagine how wonderful it must be to have someone with such inspirational and encouraging words to help you through everything and anything. You deserve nothing but the best and I'm really very happy for you that perhaps is this what you've needed all along, the happiness you've needed. You deserve to be happy and at peace with your thoughts. Makes me think I should start reading the bible over, it's been a long time since I opened it up. Perhaps I would feel a bit better about certain things in my life. I definitely couldn't agree more with everyone's thoughts, God is truly the only one who will always be there for you.. other people will come and go in your life but he's consistently supportive. You wrote a very lovely poem here, I loved it :)

There is something genuine and sincere in this piece which makes the reader feels as if you trust us enough to let us into your deepest thoughts, or a seemingly simple problem which has been bothering you for quite a while. I could really understand what you mean behind every word as you weren't trying to hide your thoughts behind cryptic words. I could also relate to this poem well enough as who doesn't face this situation in life at least once? And it is these questioning which make life so perplexing yet intriguing. Like I mentioned before, I loved how your poems allow readers to connect flawlessly. Great job Jenni!

Jen, I was reading this and nodding, what you described at the beginning...oh yeah, I've been there.
We all find faith in something and that you have found yours in God, I'm pleased for you. Whatever we believe or whatever we find our faith in, it's special.

You penned a flawless piece here, with the tone and flow it really was uplifting and powerful.

Finding a place you can be safe in and trust, is precious.

    Great write
