Dagger to the Heart

Dear Ex this is for you...

Love is torture and pain waiting to begin,
A knife to the chest is what you gave me,
I can't see straight and my world stopped in mid spin,
My heart shatters and lands in the abandoned debris.

I hurt so bad and this heart is turned black,
You ask to help but it just makes everything worse,
People are telling me that you love me and want me back,
My heart always breaking...is such a dreadful curse.

I am falling for someone new,
You can't stand that now can you?
My eyes are suddenly easier to see through,
I am sick of feeling like a kangaroo,
That has to jump back and forth just to get by.

I am stronger than people think,
