The vocabulary had me on dictionary.com a few times. Which I love vocab like that. This is so good. There's this raw, mature ache inside the words.

"I can't tolerate this
heart of mine being
chained to those veins,
beating asynchronously
against my will, falling
for one trap after another."

That was the aching sound I felt and heard. It's almost uncomfortable to read. This is just a claustrophobic piece, and how you guys have managed to do that is beyond me, but it's awesome as hell.

"I've attempted to free
the chastened soul
that shall become
its own murderer
when the clock ticks
past the hour of another day,
fighting helplessly,
to breathe.

And you still wander
where I cannot see you,
playing hide and seek
with my mind and
retaining my emotions
for your own pride,"

That made me so like akdhsasd. Just the feeling in the poem is almost like a "Stop. Okay, I'm uncomfortable. Dying. Trapped. It's dark." It's almost a panicky feeling. I don't like it. There's those poems that make you feel things that you don't want to feel - and this would be exhibit A. And that's what makes this such an incredible piece.

"You've inhibited my dreams
with your face,
intoxicating the blood
that is dragging me down
to a grave; I am a victim
to my own prosecutor,
my heart. "

This was just really, really good. I can't breathe after reading it.

Well...neither was I. Girls this piece was AWESOME..one of my favorite collabs I've read in a really long time...

What I loved were the details here!! And how they could come across maybe raw, a little complicated..but then again, I found it totally easy to relate to...

What a sucky feeling you guys have described here. I absolutely hate when the heart feels for someone against our will when we don't want to get feelings involved at all...it just happens so naturally....

Loved the bit about hide and seek as well as the ending line...being victim to your OWN prosecutor...excellent analogy for this situation..
