War Husband

This poem is something i dreamed about my husband is not a soilder in the war. But there are wifes out there that have gone through this sort of thing. I feel like i have had this dream for a reason so i used it and turned it into a poem for all the wifes out their that have lost their husbands through Wars it means something truely sad respect to all them men that died and respect for their wifes and children. please read it respectfuly thankyou.

I got a Knock on the door today,
Six months ago he went away,
to fight a War I was so afraid,
I got told he was killed
I didn't no what to say,
My heart shattered
into a thousand pieces
Did he think of me before he died?
That's what was running through my mind,
My heart and mind are grieving,
All I could do is keep screaming,
All our memory's flash in my head,
I couldn't breath
I felt dead and numb,
I had lost my soul,
Why God?
Why me?
This wasn't meant to be,
Nothing in life will ever compare
to losing my husband
life can be so unfair,
I wont let go of him
not now, not ever,
I promised when we married
we would be forever,
All the things I'm going to miss,
His kiss,
His smile, making love
Having him hold me at night,
When I give birth to his son,
Him not seeing his child grow up,
I'll let him know
his daddy loves him so very much,
My husband was a solider in a war
now he's gone he's in my heart forever more
I want to say
please remember me where ever you are,
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH,
