The Reavers' Song

The Reavers' Song

Behold, our desolate world
Billions of dead line the streets
Rendered helpless by your poison
Your misguided quest for peace
Ends in death for all but us

But we didn't lay down
We never lay down

From Miranda's haunted shores we fly
Savages, the harbingers of genocide
Driven beyond madness
Twisted into darkness
By your failed pretense of deity

But we didn't lay down
We never lay down

We torture with impunity
Murder in violent ecstasy
We rape without remorse
Devouring your flesh alive
We claim your skin and bones as trophies
In that order, if you're very lucky

And we didn't lay down
We never lay down

A better world, a world without sin
Every action has consequences
Equal and opposite - the primal Law
Now reap the horror you have sewn
Stare into our darkness
Gaze upon our madness

We didn't lay down
We'll never lay down

Behold, the Reavers
Behold, the Nightmare you created
We are Legion
We are many
We are coming

Wow this peace is very powerful I loved the justified evil it presented. 5/5

      Thank you very much!

I'm curious if you've seen the movie and/or TV series I mentioned in my previous comment.

Heavily inspired by Joss Whedon's masterpieces, "Firefly" and especially "Serenity."
