A Broken Heart

by WintersAngel   Apr 19, 2013

I once knew a girl
Who died of a broken heart
He left her sad and lonely
Here is how it starts:

One rainy day
He showed up at her door
He was soaking wet
Dripping on the floor

He said, "Hello, my name is Suicide."
She stared blankly at his handsome face
His perfect blood red eyes
Seemed so out of place

He kissed her right then
She felt her soul leaving
He seemed so perfect
Didnt look at all decieving

He stole her heart
Refused to give it back
Claimed his property
Made his attack

He abused her soul
Beat it black and blue
Played with her emotions
Til she didn't know what to do

He handed her the knife
She took it gladly
He watched the blood pool with joy
Happy that her life ended so sadly

I like to think
She never wanted to die
He had broken her heart though
And all she could do was cry

If she had never met Suicide
She would be here today
I hate him so much
He took my best friend away

Now he's haunting me
He's seductive and charming
I know now how she fell for him
But the pain is so alarming

I love this poem. Hello my name is suicide wow that line drew me in. The rhyming was great as usual. I love how you decribed the feeling of depression and the alluring feelings of deaths it can bring :)
