Angel wings

by empty inside   Apr 20, 2013

The day you got your wings
My sister you were beautiful
You were smart and funny
Everyone loved you
You were everything I wanted to be
And never was
There was a swing on the tree
You used to spend hours
Just swinging back and forth
You used to look so happy
You used to look so free
Who would have know
That you were dead inside
You when missing
No one knew where you could have been
I told them all
No one believed a little kid
So I went on my own
I saw the swing
It was empty
But her bag was there
I ran over to see
The thing that destroyed me
The two points of life
The swing and the noose
We took your body down
And your soul went up to heaven
You grew your wings
They said it wasn't over till the angel sings.

Outstanding poem, very heart'warming, it really touched me, I started screaming at one point tears falling it's so emotional, I have a sister to, who I care for though she doesn't believe me, we fight, but I would never wish harm on her. Truly tremendous poem, very well done
