Nature, My Sanctuary (Goethe Stanza)

by Maple Tree   Apr 21, 2013

Teary eyes layed down to rest

upon a green silken bed of nature,
free winged birds whisper high in a nest

rescuing my soul from danger.

This is the place where I can breathe

where a kiss of dew drops moisten my skin,
awakening the heart from a sorrowful seethe

sunrays revive, allowing healing to begin.

This is the place where my spirit can grow

my holy motherland of old,
treetops comfort, breezes blow

listening to ancient, secrets unfold.

This form is awesome and I think it fits perfectly with this piece.

Really nice seeing a spiritual poem from you Andrea...I think its amazing when you can get yourself to a place of faith and rest, and a lot of times nature does that to people. It does that to me as well..I love that feeling, and even though we have different beliefs, I feel that way in church and I think its so beautiful. To find spiritual comfort, to me, is just beautiful because we are being hugged and kissed and loved without a physical form.

This was so gracefully written. I Loved it.

I love this form...worked really well with your nature tones...and the gentleness and subtle sorrow within that.

The flow was absolutely flawless, throughout the whole piece...it just had this rhythm to it that was so smooth and free...I loved that

    Beautiful write as always...hugs
