A Lie in Reality [Double Tanka]

by Khalid M Darwish   Apr 24, 2013

What made me so sad
isn't your lying but that
from now and then
I will not be able to
believe you any longer

A lie can wander
so fast all around the world
while reality
seems so boring, coming
slow and hardly getting dressed

Oooh thats so true, after a lie its difficult to trust that person the same way, and also sometimes we'll see them differently.
    Love this piece:)

So true .. It's not the lie its the consequences that follow that break the bond

An unbelievably true write, Khalid! Lies aren't worth the trust that could be forever broken. Truth is always the key to any relationship to thrive.

I love the ending line, it's unique and really stands out.

Very thought provoking. i felt a kind of depth in the last couple lines

    "seems so boring, coming
    slow and hardly getting dressed.."

and it really made me think about the aptness of that metaphor; somehow it just seems... correct though i cant really think of any other way to state it.

over all a very short, very powerful piece about the dangers of lying, especially to those you lie about. a lie can be a low acting poison that will tear people apart - even long after the lie has become irrelevant.
