Ring

by Jack Nightengale   Apr 27, 2013

In the beginning there was some promised to you,
Something of sentimental value.
Something special, a sweet little gift,
For which your spirits it would lift.

Searching the world to find the right size,
Even looking for stones became a challenge in disguise.
Upon return the item was there all along,
Suddenly it felt as if searching was wrong.

The item now in within hand,
Though traveling the world and foreign land.
It mattered not for now it's all in the past,
Can finally relax and be at peace at last.

Awaiting the time to present it to you,
One weighed heart of love that shall stay true.
Broken to piece as the story they sing,
Never to be able to present you this ring.

    Another sadly wonderful poem

In the third stanza you have written 'in within' you could go with either but I don't think you need both :)
