Gala Roots

by Maple Tree   Apr 29, 2013

Within a strange sea, distant to me
I breathe salt coated wind, one
inhale reminds me of life, love and
laughter.

Captivated by a springtime festival,
starlets remained busy the night before
weaving webs of romance, for strange
creatures in the night delight in fragrance
of an everlasting dew promenade.

These are things I spy with an eye
of magical beings, places and things
tormented by blades of grass tickling
toes, nose and tiny buds that grow.

If only you could see what I see in the
depths of nature;

sighs, I shall show you one word at a time....

Oh Andrea, I love this...my dear lady, this is so beautiful. When I look outside I always think of you, and it immediately makes me smile and its the same when I read these nature poems from you, I just feel you in every line, and I know you're penning straight from your beautiful heart.

Another beautiful, spiritual, just amazingly penned poem!

Starting my day off with Maple Tree poetry. Every morning. It's become ritualistic. :) It puts me in a good mood every morning because everything you write, my dear, is just gorgeous.

"weaving webs of romance, for strange
creatures in the night delight in fragrance
    of an everlasting dew promenade."

I love how you frequently use webs and spiders in your poetry. In real life, I'm not a fan whatsoever under any circumstance - of spiders. I have an irrational fear of them if they're bigger than the tip of a pencil. You, however, use them, and webs, and you paint these deep, beautiful words that can't be replicated. It's your signature. It's calming, and the "fragrance of an everlasting dew promenade" is such a pretty, sensory phrase.

Love this and love you! xoxo
