I like the use of "chagrin" ...at first I thought it was a typo for charging but after soon reading and then using dictionary.com I found it is actually a word meaning "A keen feeling of mental unease, as of annoyance or embarrassment, caused by failure, disappointment, or a disconcerting even" ....so nice vocabulary in this piece.
