Explore and Adore

by Daylight Lucidity   Apr 29, 2013

Ordinarily, I sit upon the black comforter that sprawls across my bed
Dreaming of oceans I've never seen, skies in which I have yet to fly
Lands I hope to one day explore; my heart longs to be fed
By the beauties that hide within the nature everyone sees, everyone but me doesn't try,
I see the mysterious beckon from each waterfall that draws me into a hidden cave
I enjoy the embrace of vines clinging to my sweat dampened body
As I walk through forests never explored but feared as humanity in a whole fears new discoveries
The fiery passion that lies underneath the earth's skin is embodied
By the sun; I breathe as I twirl with the mini whirlwinds,
I sigh as the waves encompass my silhouette of a dancer.
Each and every night I peer through the telescope that sits in my room, as if human,
I am fascinated with astronomy, I adore the stars, and I cherish the moon- gifts given unto us all like an enhancer
For life's impurities; clouds color themselves violet, they appear like lilacs- sudden but lovely
While the rain pours from their soft, though intimidating appearance
As the droplets cover wheat fields, making it look like delicious honey
While we all share a helping dose of perseverance.
I ask Mother Nature to shower me with her gifts while the undiscovered beauties are still so valuable as if lined with gold,
And though I just sit in the confines of my room,
I know life's warming touch has taken a hold
Of my soul's desire for adventures; one would assume
That I, too, am a part of the nature I, we, so innocently love.
