Wheat and Sun

by Biancas Veil   May 2, 2013

Here I lay,
In the center of this vast field,
On a lazy summers noon The wheat is tall and sways around me in the breeze,
Peacefully untouched by the modern world nothing for miles but the wheat and trees.

I love it all,
The smell of the harvest,
The repetitive motion of sickle and scythe relaxes my stressed and muddled mind,
An exit to exhaust my body that brings a reprieve from reality that is hard to find.

A hard days work,
Brings a feeling of accomplishment,
At the end of the day when the work is done,
you can find me here lying in the wheat and sun.
