Very clever title, I'm pretty sure the phrase catch 22 means something like, damned if you do, damned if you don't...am I correct? I could be totally wrong.

You feel like you deserve the pain, but if you cut, you will disappoint the person, maybe you made a promise not to cut again... so either way, it's a no win situation. You either don't get the release of feeling deserving of pain... or you let the person you love down.
