Forever More

by Maple Tree   May 6, 2013

It was an early spring,
under moonlit stars,
rising wolves howl from
the echo of mating
neighbors, moistened
skin bathes beneath
a glistening
silk bed wrap

I dream.

Cascades of ant hills
conjure a landscape
as my weepy head
bonds within cool,
crisp grass pillows

within a night of
soft whispers
I bask in silence
of nothing and

everything....

I bow down to the Queen of Nature. :P

The way you connect with nature and poetry is simply indescribable. I'm in awe, every single time... probably the reason why I can't ever write a worthy comment on your pieces.

It's like you create snapshots with your words, pictures of details that can't be seen with just your eyes... something magical to be captured with a flash. I guess that's the photographer coming out of me, haha.

    *sigh* Lovely!

This is one of the finest nature poems I've read. If not the finest one.

There's much serenity in your tone, much 'natural' flow. And the images of the ants is splendid.

    Great piece.

There is always something relaxing in your poems, I think it's how you incorporate your feelings with the nature aspects and I know how important nature is to you, and how it calms you...

I feel that you were having one of those moments where you felt scrunched up, restricted, and not yourself and you let the world speak to you, you let nature be your guide and this poem shows so much of you, it shows so much gentleness amongst the feelings inside

    Really beautifully penned as always
