I knew pain and suffering
At times in life
Days where I thought
Id never get it right
I knew failure, disappointment
An ocean of mistakes
Bad decisions wrong turns
Choices I had to make
I knew there was a reason
I just couldn't see
The future is cloudy
But you have to believe
I knew true love
At a very young age
Your daddy took me by surprise
I was never the same
I knew the day
I heard your heart
My world was just now
Getting ready to start
Every tear, every scream
Every frown, every lie
every heartbreak and kiss
Every sorrowful goodbye
Every smile, every laugh
Every person I met
Every story, every ending
And every regret
I knew it all lead me
To that very day
Prepared me for this
In every possible way
I knew,
from immediate glance
That nothing in life
Happens by chance
I knew God had a plan
It had always been true
For every moment in my life
Lead me to you
For my beautiful daughter Renaeley! so many of my poems are sad, and were difficult times in my life. But I wouldn't change a second because it was all leading me to my wonderful husband and amazing family! Hope you guys enjoy reading.
