Your Little Girl

by schmetterling   May 9, 2013

Your little girl,
Has been broken for awhile,
She isn't happy,
She forgot how to smile.

When you ask how she's doing,
And she says, "I'm fine",
She's not telling the truth,
On the inside she's dying.

Your little girl,
Who you thought you knew so well,
Cries herself to sleep every night,
It was a long time ago that she fell.

The things she hates about herself,
You will never know,
She covers it up with goofiness,
The pain she never shows.

Your daughter that you thought was so beautiful,
Is not inside,
She thinks she's hideous,
This truth she won't confide.

Look into her eyes,
Closer than you ever bothered,
She's not fine.
Your little girl is dead and hurt.
