Confession

by Poet on the Piano   May 12, 2013

You sped over my tracks
without realizing you are not safe
within your steel mechanics-

so I pushed your tires with the
muscles of my lips,
raspberry sizzles that lit up
sparks
until you came to know me
as

patience.

For I will only have skin
smooth as velvet suns
when you slow down and make
a confession.
