His Perspective

by phantasticstarkid   May 12, 2013

I see the scars on her arms
And know I'm to blame.
It makes me sick to think
I cause her this much pain.

She smiles at me
And acts like everything is fine
But I know that she's teetering
On a very thin line.

I want to tell her that I know
I want to tell her that I see
But I can't bear to hear her say
That it's because of me.

So I'll keep my mouth shut
And silently watch her slip away
I know I'm being selfish,
But I can't hear what she has to say.
