Secrets in the Sand

by Daylight Lucidity   May 14, 2013

Silent as a shadow
yet bright as the sun
I wallow in sorrow
as I futilely run
from secrets in the sand
wiped from the shore
with the sea's salty hand
and buried beneath its floor.
My footsteps not paired
with those of a lover's
but rather sadness' stare
at loneliness' hover,
though beauty is blared
in the sights around
and is shared
with the uncertain ground.
The birds in the sky
make themselves known
as they fly
from places unknown
I peer at them
hoping they land
as I wish for a friend
other than secrets in the sand.

that makes me want to cry since it's both beautiful and sad and at times i do run from the truth that stares at me in the face but not another soul knows as i wipe it's trace away from both time and reality i really love this poem i felt a deep sadness and a slight shiver of darkness in this poem very good Raven
