The Little Sparrow

by Alexandria   May 15, 2013

An ignorant man will catch a Sparrow
and lock it in a cage
Watch it's feathers fade to lack luster
It's silent sorrow gauge
He clips its wings to keep it bound
And keep it to himself
He pets it and he feeds it
And forgets it on a shelf

An ignorant man releases the sparrow
Expecting total loyalty
The sparrow spreads its wings
A satin collar the ownership key
The sparrow takes flight away
To freedom singing strong
The man can wait forever
The sparrow is forever gone.
