Loneliness

by Daylight Lucidity   May 15, 2013

"Sweetie, brace yourself"
I tell the mirror
As I stare at myself
And see the tears
Rolling down my cheek
Making my piercings glisten
In the dull light's gleam
As I beg for someone to listen.

They never hear my pleas
Though silent they are,
They never hear my screams,
As I make new scars
I bleed it out,
All the pain and betrayal,
I know even though I can shout,
I am so frail.

I want someone to love me
Not just because they think they need to
I don't want to pretend to see
The light at the end of the tunnel, too,
No one knows I shake and cry
Every night and day
Wishing someone would try
To save me from disgrace.

I want a star
To brighten my night
But that dream fell far
Into depression's abyss not fit for light,
I rock back and forth
Feeling so incredibly alone
Breathing raggedly and unsure
If I'll ever find true love's road.

I promise you'll find someone someday. you are beyond beautiful, they are all just to blind to see it yet

I am sure you will find that trail dear. You're a very nice and sweet and kind and friendly and all around amazing person. People would be crazy not to see past your smile, embrace your pain and love you for you.

Overall this is a really sad and somewhat hopeful poem. Worded beautifully.
