The Truth About Depression

by A   May 15, 2013

Depression is like a parasite slowly eating away your life. It's not something you choose to happen to you just one day it takes over and you stop being happy, you stop laughing all the time, you stop being yourself. It's like a hole has been made inside of you and no matter what you try to do it doesn't go away and you don't know how to fill it up. You start to cut to feel something, you see your blood flowing down your skin it doesn't really help but at the same time it does. It helps take away some of the pain but your still left with some pain. You are left with scars all over your body and you're young you look at them and start to wonder is this all I want, do I want all these scars on my wrists and body. It's like a feeling of emptiness, it takes everything away from you and you are left like an empty shell.

(I know its not really a poem but I hope this helps you understand the truth about depression. Sorry its so long)
