High noon tea or low tea.

by Ole Carsten   May 18, 2013

Once I dreamed about the tea,
A real English high noon tea,
Served to my in a lovely garden,
People dressed for tea.

Served at low tables,
Seated in a comfortable chair,
All within arm's length,
No need for stretching.

Ladies dress in knee length,
Summer flowered dresses,
Quite talks about the tea,
Sun is shining above the parasol.

Flirting with birds during tea,
Reaching out for finger sandwiches,
Cucumber mint tea sandwiches,
Salmon and cucumber mixed.

Chatting along about all in life,
Your knee it showing,
I slide in time and place,
Returning to waves and sea.

I am losing my manners,
Touching the exposed skin,
Flashing images emerges,
From the brains treasury.

Slowly I am returning,
Shaken but still smiling,
Flash back are dangerous,
Even while dreaming..
