Where Lies Linger

by Michael D Nalley   May 18, 2013

In this age of communication on line
Many social mediums are quite fine
The mouth is replaced by several fingers
Sometimes that is where the filth lingers
We no longer whisper explicit slurs under our breath
We openly type out the hate that leads to death
Some thoughts are in black, white yellow or red.
The human race will run until we are all dead.

This is very true sadly. People are just saying things that they do not realise the affect of. Simply put - they let their mouths rule their heads.

    Excellent life poem.

Absolutely the truth! Online, people don't have that face-to-face confrontation, so they feel more comfortable to say what they truly are feeling, type the hate and filth more openly. In real life, they would most likely keep their mouth shut or just mutter it under their breath, hoping no one hears.

You captured it here wonderfully! Nice poem, Michael!
