This is quite beautiful. The allusion to the pirates works really well with the theme here. You can draw a lot of connections (pirates = dirty people who use others and threaten others to get what the want = past loves). It works really well.

And the beginning sort of contrasts the idea of it being a love poem when you're being abandoned but the ending is an amazing turn of events.
