No Turning Back

by phantasticstarkid   May 21, 2013

She's going to school
Knowing that today will be her last
She just can't take the pain
From things that happened in the past.

She makes it through the day
In kind of a dream-like state
Knowing that today is the last time
She'll see all the people she hates.

She finally makes it home
And then without a sound
She searches through her house
To make sure no one's around.

She sees that the coast is clear
And she goes and gets her knife
Then she sits down on her bed
And starts to end her life.

She starts to cut but then stops
And asks herself why it came to this
She tries to figure out
Why she feels the need to put knives to her wrist.

Then she realizes it's all because of him
He cause her pain and he caused her strife
He's the one she's always loved
But he's the reason she's taking her own life.

She sighs and takes her knife
And runs it across her throat and both wrists
She knows it's almost over
That she'll soon cease to exist.

And now she's sitting here waiting
Alone on her bed
The sheets, once white,
Begin to turn red.

Her room starts spinning
Her world fades to black
And now she knows
That there's no turning back.
