Everyday

Everyday she gets up
Knowing she has to see it all again
She has to see the smiles and laughter
She has to see someone else with him.

Everyday she puts on her fake smile
So she won't seem out of place
There are very few that understand
That it's a fake smile on her face.

Everyday she acts
Like she's happy to be alive
Every night she slits her wrists
Hoping that she'll die.

Everyday she sees him
With another girl
Everyday he takes away
A little more of her world.

Everyday he says he's sorry
He tells her it won't last
Everyday he lies to her
Like he has so many times in the past.

Everyday she smiles
And acts like she's okay
She wonders if people will ever know
That she's lying everyday.
