Seeds of Deception

by Amreen   May 22, 2013

Sarah forgot her-
who helped her discover dreams
and turn their empty home
filled with remains of yesterdays' abuse and bruised memories
to a haven etched with happiness,
as she presumed her mother
to be the photographer of her disturbed childhood
by slaughtering her love,
to fulfil her devil father's promise
he made to her in silent whispers of falsity.

*written for a club activity.

Very well structured... I must say...

And with limited words and lines, you've created a clear tragic picture. Nice work.

I absolutely love how you meshed all of those titles/prompts together! Not easy to do in such a few lines, at least not to me lol...but you hit the ball out of the park!

I like how in the beginning it's a mystery... and you don't really know where the story is going until the end.

I'm assuming the 'her' is her mother, who was the photographer, she was looking through the 'lens' and seen what was going on, but never did capture the 'picture' for proof - she let it slide... she let it go on to please her husband. :/

Very sad story, but written beautifully!

Thank you Hannah! Ya the story revolves around the mother and her daughter being brainwashed by her father.
