I think sometimes our expectations let us down rather than what 'love' lets us down. We could have the best guy in the world, but then we expect him to do/say certain things, like in movies/books, etc... and when he doesn't, we feel like he doesn't 'love' us and we feel disappointed. That's what I got from this poem. |
