Enough is Enough

by Daylight Lucidity   May 23, 2013

My life has been harshly decorated by their snide remarks
I have never been courageous enough to stand up
To everything they whispered behind my back
To all of the rude and hateful things that no kid should have to endure.
So I say to all of the people who told me to go die:

I am sorry I am not pretty
I am sorry I am not like you
I am sorry I let you near me
I am sorry my scars are because of you.
I am sorry I am not perfect
I am sorry you can't accept me
I am sorry you think I am not worth it
I am sorry you think my life is unneeded.
I am sorry I listened to your "advice"
I am sorry I tried to starve myself
I am sorry you got a hold of my life
And I am sorry I'm not who you want me to be
But oh damn well.
I am me, and I am not changing for you.
