An Angel Died

by Dominique Lewis & Daylight Lucidity   May 23, 2013

You sparkled my life with joy,
Leaving me feeling whole,
Not one tear fell from me when you were here,
My sweet, you made me feel

Thank you for being there for me,
Thank you for loving me for me,
You made this world a better place to be,
But why did you decide to leave?

An excellent mother
A beauty never fully brought to light
The world would not be able to handle
So much blatant love and care
Protection from harm
And a shoulder to cry on,
I love you

I miss you even as a hole lays
in my heart,
Don't ever worry I'll never forget you,
Your smile,
Your laughs,
The way you just shone through the night,
If I live to see the day I turn 95 I'll never forget
you
