An Expensive Advice [String Senryu]

by Khalid M Darwish   May 27, 2013

Most birds eat some ants
But when birds die ants eat them
Conditions may change

Never belittle
people for things they don't have,
whatever they are

Maybe you're strong now
but always remember that
time's stronger than you

True! Your poems make me ponder on the small things we ignore in our lives. There is so much to learn from this, about how every being is important and a purpose to fulfil on earth.

    Fabulous!!

    Keep writing:)

I agree with both these ladies, wisdom shines through this piece!

The first stanza shows the circle of life... birds think they are on top because they eat the ants, but without knowing when they die, the ants eat their remains.

The ones who pick on the weak will ultimately fall later in life, they always do. Bullies win for the moment, the bullied win the overall race of time.

    Nice poem!
