Kill Me

by Vermilion   May 27, 2013

This is one of my older poems, so I apologize if the quality of the poem does not meet the standards of the others. Thanks. -Vermilion

Why must it end this way?
Why is this world so cruel?
Why must she feel this pain?
Why must she be treated like a fool?

Now kill me,
Come on,
Thrill me,
As my blood and the blade bond!

I've lived such a hard life,
I deserve some fun!
So please, can I play with your knife?
I just want to see my own blood run!

And don't act like you didn't see it coming,
No, don't act like you haven't seen the pain,
And as my heart is running,
I hop on board death's train

And what a fun ride,
Oh, the thrill,
Who cares about pride?
For myself I get to kill!

And don't try to stop me
I deserve the pain
My soul has finally been set free,
As I carve out my ribcage!

Now isn't this so pleasant?
To listen to me scream?
I'm just a worthless peasant,
To whom pain is the king!

And I take these final breaths
I kiss my soul goodbye
I happily embrace death
Oh, the joy to watch me die!

And agony is pleasure
And pain is pure joy
And death is a treasure
And a gun is my favorite toy!

And cruelty is my good deed,
And pain is my reward!
And to no warnings will I heed
With life I'm getting bored

So drown me in a lake
Hit me with a train
Please burn me at the stake
And put a bullet through my brain!

And rip me limb from limb
Torture me for what I've become
As I see her smile at him,
My heart and my soul go numb.

Even though you say its one of your older poems this is still amazing. I love the graphic details you portray in your poems. They truly bring the poems to life no doubt. I truly love all the questions at the beginning. We all have to ask these questions when we get our heartbroken. I love the way you started out so strong and you get the point out.... you want to die and that is very clear here indeed. I love the use of the blade as well. As you can play with it and it can make your blood run so much. The ride of death's train I understand that feeling so well as it consumes you and then you go insane inside. Sense this is a death poem I love how you don't care how you die you just want to no matter what. I love the twisted ending too. The reason why is because she is with someone else. Beautiful write. I hope you write more. 5/5

Thanks! :) I was worried people wouldn't like it much because it's a little cheesy. I assure you that that's only because I was just starting poetry when I wrote this.
