Comments : That Certain Point

I think there are many people that can relate to this Saffie, the need for someone, but the fear of needing them also...its a two way thing, its a fight and a battle with the heart and the mind, it takes time to find yourself and find your comfortability.

I really like the repetition of the certain point, because in life, it's at certain moments that you lose faith, you fall, you fight, everything happens gradually but all at once.

This piece was very raw, it is a poem that I know will hit a lot of people.

Love is a complicated thing, but to trust and be loved, you need to understand yourself and it takes time. So much time.

First stanza: The need for this person consumes you, you would give up everything as long as you have this person in your life. They are the only person who can comfort you.

Second stanza: I think that certain point is falling in love... that moment when you just know. All it takes is hearing their voice and it automatically calms you and brings you back to a state of ease.

Third stanza: It hurts to be away from them, even if it's for a single night...but there is something inside of you (fear?) that keeps pushing them away farther, afraid of actually falling in love and having that need for another person.

Fourth stanza: It's a back and forth tug on your heart... you miss them but you are scared of getting hurt, so it's a constant struggle of which is the worst...being in love and having the chance of getting hurt... or being alone.

Ending: The battle of losing them or having them is controlling your heart and your mind... you are scared of both situations.

The repetition of 'certain point' is wonderful throughout... there are always a that one moment that could make or break a relationship...and I think this is what this poem is about... being on that line.

This is pretty unique saffie. It is true that we all need that one person to love us for who we are. There is only one person that makes us smile when noone else can and I believe that is what you were saying. I love the racing heart line. It says to me the you are nervous and scared without them. I think the second stanza is my favorite. The voice of a loved one can calm any hurt you feel. I love how you seem to compare them to the voice of an angel and you seem to imagine them as such. You bring this personality to life and make him seem so beautiful inside and out. Sometimes crying is very clensing for the soul when nothing else works. I like the heart whispering love seems to speak so manyddifferent things. It can be scared too when you have been hurt and have to protect yourself. You don't want to lose them. It's better to love than lost though. You have to take a chance though. This is sad but the message is strong. 5/5
