Best Friend

by Cody Bombardier   May 29, 2013

I look into your bright blue eyes in a daze,
And everything around you turns to a haze.

Things get dark and wet as if I'm in a damp cave,
But the sight of you changes things to ocean waves.

I stop and think about you to a max,
Until my limbs become fully relaxed.

I see your face sparkle bright,
Suddenly I'm full of delight.

Warm heart so full of caring,
Everything fails in comparing.

Your thoughts, actions, and words are so plentiful,
Especially coming from someone so beautiful.

Every time I hear your soft laugh,
It cuts me into two amazing half's.

As I grow older, smarter and into my prime,
I learned I found a best friend for a lifetime.
