Day from Night

by Isabella Grace   May 29, 2013

Days and nights just the same,

Dark, cold, and lonely,

A voice I heard, it said my name,

Your wounded heart is not the only.

Out of nowhere, I saw a light,

The moon, the sun, one bright star,

A beam of hope just might,

A caring soul from afar.

Day by day, night by night,

A whisper from across the land,

A word of trust, things alright,

A soul, a man, a touchable hand.

Endless sharing, hurt revealed,

Compassion, kindness, patience from his heart,

Two wounded souls together,

A bond of friendship never to part.

A voice I heard, It said my name,

Wounded hearts find one another,

Different souls, hurt the same.

God created beings, across the land,

Joined on common ground,

A blessing, a man, a touchable hand,

Day from night was found.
