The Sentiment

by Isabella Grace   May 29, 2013

A radiance, a sentiment,

So brilliant, intense, and clear,

A companion, a friend,

Beloved, cherished, precious, and dear.

Lyrics, a melody,

Calming, reassuring, and kind,

Treasured in the moment,

Embedded in the mind.

Forgiveness, absolution, amnesty,

A blessing, an offering,

A soul devoted, unswerving, and steadfast.

An unmarked beginning.

Obliged, indebted, appreciative,

No expression to elucidate,

Gratitude eternally,

This soul must communicate.

A smile, and laughter,

Amusement and a grin,

A union forever after,

With you it did begin

    "Forgiveness, absolution, amnesty,
    A blessing, an offering,
A soul devoted, unswerving, and steadfast.
    An unmarked beginning."

    - I liked your structure of providing nouns to show your friendship and loyalty to this person, and how maybe you have come to terms with yourself as well as this person after the journey of life. I loved that last line, simple but powerful.

    "This soul must communicate."

    - I kind of felt this line was awkwardly expressed or not enough, like communicate in what way? Communicate to you or have your soul reach this person's? Not clear enough in my opinion.

Good ending, very positive and reflective of this person's encouraging impact in your life. It's wonderful when you find those friends and companions in your life who don't bring you down but you lift you up. "With you it did begin" is beautiful, there is no questioning of this person's friendship.
