In Santa's Sleigh

by Isabella Grace   May 29, 2013

Barely grown,

I became an Aunt,

A sweet little Niece,

I felt was my own,

But forever mine,

I can't.

Just used to the little one,

My first nephew arrived,

He was like my first son,

With his little momma,

I'm surprised he survived!

Many years past,

A missing part to the two,

A second Nephew at long last,

We had not a clue,

The little one a blast!

These three now grown,

With busy little lives,

Who would have ever known,

Incredible children,

Before my very eyes!

Many miles apart,

I miss them so,

Much love for the three,

Always in my heart,

I pray they each know!

So on this Christmas Day,

I am sending hugs and kisses,

With Santa in his sleigh,

And many loving wishes,

For each of you today!

I love you always!

This is a very sweet poem. It speaks so much of love and affection. I could visualize a beautiful image of Christmas and the mirth it has to share.

    Amazing!

    Keep writing:)
