Its Name... My Name

by Daylight Lucidity   Jun 1, 2013

Please, allow me to introduce myself.

My name, nay- my title, is Breakdown;
I've been shadowing this girl since she was seven.
I am the ringing when there is no sound
I am the creak of the door at half past eleven
I am the howl in the wind of secrets within memories
I am the footsteps she hears behind her when she's all alone
I am the fear in her eyes though everyone sees them as empty
I am the queen ruling her from upon depression's throne.
I am the tears she cries when she says goodnight
I am the one who introduced her to the razor in her dresser
I am the monster she dreams about at night
I am the creature who creates unbearable pressure.
I am the scars on her arms and legs
I am the reason she has no one to hold
I am the cause of all her pain
I am the one who leaves her cold.

My name, my title, is Breakdown
I no longer shadow that girl
I am not lost, I have been found
She is me, and I am her.
